FINAL PIECE

After much thinking it became apparent that my previous idea may not be practical as it required a process that was complicated by technology which makes it seem forced and mechanical, therefore being mislead from the original concept of a fleeting reality.

In order to combat this issue I took one of my previous experiments and built a video composition around it.

I achieved this by creating a black screen in which I cut a whole to accommidate the size of my face in order for it to be seen along side the projection.
The projection of the previously filmed video was fed through the laptop and into the projector which projected the moving image onto the black screen - also a lamp was placed within the composition so the entire image could be seen. The video camera then recorded the activity. As a result it gave the impression of disembodiment which, I believe, further demonstrates a juxtaposition between the real and the surreal.
In addition to this I recorded the sound of footsteps and used Windows Live Movie Maker to add audio to the video.

Eventually, I found an appropriate space to display the video, via the use of a projector.
